Pattern: Basic Ribbed Socks by Kate Atherley
Yarn: Shibui Sock Yarn, 100% merino
Needles: Size 2 DPNs
Time to knit: About two weeks
I loved this self-stripping yarn especially since it includes a lot of purple, my favorite color. Overall, this was an easy, mindless knit that I worked on during lunch breaks and in front of the television. It is about time I used this yarn for a project–I purchased it last summer before going to Mexico and it has been sitting in my stash ever since. Speaking of stash, I joined a sock yarn stash buster group on Ravelry. Compared to some folks (i.e. enough sock yarn for 300 pairs!) my stash is small and manageable. Here’s a pic of my current attempt to burn through my stash–
The pattern is Socks for Veronik. I am hoping to finish these by the middle of March before my vacation to Oaxaca–stay tuned!
